General Information
Rockcliffe Getaway is perfectly positioned in the heart of Oliver’s wine country. You’re just 5 minutes from the District Wine Village and within 10 minutes of 40+ wineries including Burrowing Owl, Tinhorn Creek, and River Stone Estate. The Golden Mile Bench and Black Sage Bench wine regions are practically at your doorstep.
Absolutely. While the suite is attached to our bungalow, we’ve invested in exceptional soundproofing: double walls with double insulation and drywall ensure complete privacy. You have your own private entrance, gated parking area, and secluded patio—no shared spaces except the driveway entrance.
As owner-operators, Mark Lucas and Jayna Walsh personally prepare every detail for your stay. Unlike corporate-managed properties, we live on-site and are available for recommendations while respecting your privacy. Our custom-built soundproofing, private gated parking, and curated local guidebooks create an intimate, boutique experience you won’t find in larger vacation complexes.
Yes! The suite offers high-speed WiFi, a dedicated workspace area, and the quiet environment you need for video calls. The soundproofing ensures you won’t be disturbed, and the peaceful setting is perfect for focused work between wine tastings.

Your booking includes cleaning fees and taxes in the quoted price. We require a $300 CAD security deposit (refunded within 14 days after checkout if no damage occurs). Optional add-ons like early check-in or late checkout may be available upon request.
Yes. Save more when you extend your stay: 7+ nights: CAD $200 (Peak) / CAD $170 (Winter) 30+ nights: CAD $150 (Peak) / CAD $130 (Winter)
We accept all major credit cards through Stripe for secure processing. Direct bookings through our website receive priority customer service compared to third-party platforms.
We typically require a 2-night minimum stay. Single-night stays may be available last-minute—contact us to inquire.
Property & Amenities
The suite features a fully equipped kitchen with full-size stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and complete cookware. The private patio BBQ complements the indoor cooking facilities—perfect for grilling local ingredients from the Oliver Farmers’ Market.

The luxury bathroom features a deep soaking tub (perfect for post-winery relaxation), walk-in shower, plush towels, organic toiletries, and a hair dryer. We provide starter supplies of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Yes—unlike many vacation rentals, we offer in-suite laundry facilities with washer, dryer, and detergent. Perfect for longer stays or refreshing clothes after hiking the nearby trails.
The bedroom features a premium king-size bed with high-thread-count linens and multiple pillow options. The space is designed for couples or solo travelers—we do not allow additional guests or pets to maintain the tranquil atmosphere.

Policies & Guest Support
Standard check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. We offer self-check-in with a keypad entry for your convenience. Early check-in or late checkout may be available by prior arrangement depending on booking schedules.
Since we live on-site, we’re available for urgent issues. For non-urgent requests, text or email us. We respect your privacy and will only enter the suite with your permission except in emergencies (water leaks, etc.).
Rockcliffe Getaway is designed specifically for couples and solo travelers seeking tranquility. To maintain the peaceful environment for all guests, we do not allow pets or children under 16. The suite accommodates a maximum of 2 guests.
We operate a strict 60-day cancellation policy to protect our small owner-operated business. As a single-property rental, late cancellations significantly impact our ability to operate. We do not offer exceptions for personal circumstances—including changes in travel plans, work commitments, illness, or weather—unless the government issues a mandatory evacuation or closure order for the Oliver area (such as during wildfire events).
Refund Structure:
60+ days before check-in: Full refund
30-59 days before check-in: 30% refund
Less than 30 days: No refund
Travel Insurance is Essential
Because we maintain a strict no-exception policy outside of government-mandated closures, we strongly require all guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. Your policy should cover trip cancellation due to illness, injury, flight disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances. This protects both you and our small business.
No smoking of any kind (including cannabis and vaping) is permitted inside the suite or on the private patio. Oliver offers many designated outdoor areas if needed.
We provide complimentary high-speed fiber internet for streaming, video calls, and browsing. The network information is provided in your welcome packet. Please note that as we’re in a rural wine country setting, we ask guests to avoid large downloads or torrenting to maintain bandwidth for all.
Accidents happen! Please inform us immediately of any damage. Minor wear and tear is expected. The $300 security deposit covers accidental damage; significant damage will be assessed fairly and may require additional charges.
Absolutely. Please see Things to do for our preferred local spots. Mark & Jayna are happy to share current favourite biking, golfing, hiking and fishing spots. As wine enthusiasts ourselves, we can suggest itineraries based on your taste preferences (bold reds, crisp whites, or family-friendly options).
