Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking at Rockcliffe Getaway Oliver BC. By completing a reservation, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Parties

These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding agreement between Rockcliffe Getaway, Oliver BC (“Host,” “we,” “us”) and the person making the booking (“Guest,” “you”). The Guest making the booking is responsible for all guests staying at the property during the reservation period.

2. Booking and Payment

  • A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment at the time of booking.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking. No reservation will be held without payment.
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card information.
  • All rates are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

3. Cancellation Policy

We enforce a Strict 60-Day Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made 60 or more days before check-in: Full refund of all payments made, minus any non-refundable booking fees.
  • Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days before check-in: 30% refund of the total booking amount.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before check-in: No refund. The full booking amount is forfeited.
  • No-shows: No refund will be issued for guests who fail to arrive without prior notice.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

4. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in time: 3:00 PM or as arranged with the Host
  • Check-out time: 10:00 AM or as arranged with the Host
  • Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability, and may incur additional fees.
  • Guests must vacate the property by the agreed check-out time. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.

5. Occupancy

  • The maximum occupancy of the property is clearly stated in your booking confirmation.
  • Exceeding the maximum occupancy is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your stay without refund.
  • Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight at the property.

6. House Rules

By confirming your booking, you agree to respect and abide by the following rules:

  • No smoking anywhere on the property, including outdoor areas.
  • No parties or events without prior written consent from the Host.
  • Guests must keep noise to a reasonable level, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, in respect of neighbours.
  • No pets allowed on the property.
  • Guests are responsible for keeping the property clean and tidy throughout their stay.
  • Any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment must be reported to the Host immediately.
  • No illegal activities are permitted on the premises.

7. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit of $300 CAD is required at the time of booking.
  • The deposit will be returned within 14 days of check-out, provided the property is left in satisfactory condition.
  • The Host reserves the right to deduct from the security deposit for any damages, excessive cleaning, or rule violations.

8. Property Care and Damage

  • Guests are expected to treat the property with care and respect.
  • Guests are liable for any damage caused during their stay, including damage caused by additional guests or visitors.
  • The cost of repairing or replacing damaged items will be charged to the Guest.
  • The Host reserves the right to charge the Guest’s payment method on file for any damages discovered after check-out.

9. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, wildfires, flooding, or public health emergencies. In such cases, the Host will work with the Guest to reschedule or provide a credit toward a future stay where possible.

10. Liability

  • The Host is not responsible for any loss, theft, injury, or damage to Guests or their personal belongings during their stay.
  • Guests use all property amenities at their own risk.
  • The Host’s liability is limited to the total amount paid for the booking.

11. Right of Access

The Host or their representative reserves the right to access the property at any time in cases of emergency, or with reasonable notice (minimum 24 hours) for maintenance or inspection purposes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

13. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking confirmation will apply to your stay.
